Salzburg – the City of Music!
Would you like to discover the city where the 'Sound of Music' took place, where the Trapp family used to live and where not only Mozart but also Herbert von Karajan was born?
But that’s not all! Did you know that the city is also called the 'Rome of the North'? Let me tell you more about the eventful history of the city, ruled for centuries by the so-called Prince-Archbishops, and show you the most inspiring places in the old town centre of Salzburg.
Our walking tour will include the most interesting sights such as Mirabell Gardens, the Getreidegasse with Mozart’s Birthplace, St. Peter’s Monastery and St. Peter’s Cemetry, a closer view of the Fortress Hohensalzburg and Nonnberg Abbey up on the hill, the Cathedral of Salzburg and the vast squares around the Cathedral with the Residence Fountain and Mozart’s Statue.
Depending on your time and interest, of course, I will be pleased to show you more thrilling places and corners of the marvellous Old Town Centre and the so-called New Town on the other side of the river. Are you getting curious?
Please contact me and I will be glad to organize a tour according to your personal wishes with and for you. No matter, if you are planning a trip with your family, school, office, clients, friends.. - I’ll be happy to be your guide!
